AAHomecare Washington Legislative Conference 2027

AAHomecare has set May 12 to 13, 2027, for its Washington Legislative Conference, the home medical equipment industry’s annual lobbying day on Capitol Hill. The dates come from the organizer’s save-the-date. As of 2026-10-30 the conference hotel is not yet announced and no independent outlet has reported the 2027 dates, so treat them as announced but not yet detailed.

The format is two half-days. On May 12 attendees gather for a networking reception at the Capitol Hill Club (5:00 to 6:00 p.m.) and a dinner. On May 13 a breakfast distributes Hill packets and groups attendees by state, then meetings with members of Congress and staff run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AAHomecare works with Advocacy Associates to schedule the meetings and supply issue briefs and talking points. The 2027 conference is listed as free for the HME industry; co-sponsorships are open.

Attendees are HME and DME provider owners and executives, manufacturers and state association leaders. The agenda tracks the association’s legislative priorities. In 2026 the asks were three bills: H.R. 2005 (DMEPOS Relief Act), H.R. 1703 (Choices for Increased Mobility Act) and H.R. 2902 (SOAR Act on supplemental oxygen). Expect the 2027 list to reflect whatever competitive bidding and reimbursement bills are live next spring.

Prior-year facts: the 2026 conference ran May 13 to 14 with the reception at the Capitol Hill Club and a strategy breakfast at the Hilton Washington, D.C. Capitol, per HME News. It was free for AAHomecare members and $129 for non-members. At the 2025 conference, more than 120 HME stakeholders held 55 scheduled meetings with members of health-finance committees, with about a dozen more added on the day. AAHomecare has not published a 2026 attendance count that we could find as of 2026-10-30.
