Carex Health Brands

Carex Health Brands is a consumer brand of home health products. Its site organizes the range into mobility (canes, walkers and rollators), bath safety, pain management, sleep therapy, bright light therapy and homecare, and says it offers more than 600 products. The site names the brands in the Carex family as Carex, Day-Light, AccuRelief, TENS 7000, Bed Buddy, TheraMed, Apex, ProBasics, Roscoe Medical, Meridian Medical and StrengthTape. Products reach consumers through pharmacies, retailers and online stores.

Location and ownership

Carex is a brand of Compass Health Brands Corp. The Carex warranty page directs customers to 6753 Engle Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio, which is also the address on Compass Health Brands’ FDA establishment registration. Compass was formed in 2014 when Roscoe Medical and Carex Health Brands merged and the combined parent took the Compass name, per the HME News archive. Carex does not state a founding year on its site, which refers to both “45+ years” and “more than 50 years” of operation.

Sale to Drive Medical

On January 29, 2026 Drive Medical announced a definitive agreement to acquire Compass Health Brands. Terms were not disclosed. Compass is to operate as a division of Drive Medical, followed by a phased integration, with Stuart Straus continuing as Compass CEO and Derek Lampert as Drive CEO. HomeCare Magazine notes that Kingswood Capital Management had bought Drive Medical in October 2025. The Carex site now states that “in early 2026, Carex joined Drive Medical.” Neither company publishes Carex revenue or headcount.
